Outwardly quiet, timid, and somewhat socially uncertain, she nevertheless retains the instincts of someone raised within the Terran Empire: suspicious, pragmatic, resourceful, and capable of startling ruthlessness when threatened. Her growing attachment to the Midway and its crew has left her caught between the person Zara had to become to survive and the person Sarah may finally have the opportunity to be.

Personal History

Sarah Lockwood is the assumed identity of Zara Lockwood, a ensign of the Terran Empire who, along with Lt. Calvin Ivers was rescued from an escape pod by the Midway Zara proved dangerous and deeply conditioned by life in the Empire, but increasingly questioned the brutal system she had served. She ultimately turned against Ivers and later aided the Midway in destroying the Defiant and thwarting Empress Hoshi Sato’s attempt to extend Terran power across universes.

Rather than return Zara to a universe she feared, Captain Tristan Faust offered her a second chance. Her true identity was classified and a new Starfleet identity was created for her, Ensign Sarah Lockwood. Assigned to the Security Division under close supervision, Sarah has gradually attempted to adapt to Federation life.
